Montreal: John Lovell, 1860. First Edition . Hardcover. Poor. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. x, 179pp. Red cloth, gilt spine lettering, errata slip bound-in at introductory page. Book is shaken, spine is loose, cover and endpapers are stained, text is age-toned, a few loose pages but is complete and surprisingly clean. a slightly illegible inscription on front free endpaper most likely reads "Presented to J.G. Johnstone Esq. with the author's compt, Montreal April 1860." An account of the author's observations and reflections on his trip to the West Indies and United States. A very scarce title that will need restoration.
