Catalogue of a traveling exhibition that was shown at The Architectural League of New York, Harvard, and elsewhere. Twelve then-young landscape designers each describe their plans for an "ideal garden, embracing a personal philosophy" and addressing "the flower as a design element." "Without actual clients, the proposed gardens are speculative and conceptual." The designers include Van Valkenburgh, Martha Schwartz, Barbara Stauffacher Solomon, and Pamela Burton and Katherine Spitz. Scarce.
