About This Item
Hardcover edition published by Random House, 1934. No dust jacket. 8-1/4" X 10-7/8". Originally published as 'Le Voyage de Babar' in 1932, this is the First American Random House edition, translated from the French by Merle S. Haas. The second in the Babar series. The binding is intact, though both the front and back flyleaf pages are detached - both pages are included, but they are no longer attached to the binding. Small dots of age tanning to the bottom edge of the text - affects the bottom edge of pages 35 through 48, about the size of a sesame seed. Two vertical crease marks to the front board, two marks close to each other, in-between Babar and Celeste. Just a few dots of edge wear to the boards, though the corners are a bit bumped inward and the bottom corners are worn to a bit of exposure of the internal boards. A couple dots of rubbing wear to the back board. Age appropriate age tanning to the text pages. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. This is not a library discard. Attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory.
