Dust jacket is complete but has frayed edges, some creasing to rear and small area of insect damage to edge of illustration. Offsetting and foxing to endpapers. Internally pages very clean.. Illustrated with 11 tipped-in colour drawings by Donald Maxwell.

London: Hodder and Stoughton, n.d. [ca. 1928]. First, De Luxe, Limited Edition. Hard Cover in Box. Fine. Tall Octavo. #39 of 200 copies, signed by both Milne and Maxwell, of the De Luxe edition, bound in blue buckram with a vellum spine strip and bright gilt lettering to spine, top edge gilt. Pp. [91] + 22 tipped-in colour plates. Except for the tiny piece missing from the right upper tip of the plate "The Dee at Aboyne" (probably occured in manufacture), this is an as new, clean, tight copy, kept in this pristine condition by the rare, original, printed and illustrated box. Light tanning to box, else very good.
