New York: The Limited Editions Club, 1929. Very Good +. New York: The Limited Editions Club, 1929. Limited Edition of 1500 copies signed by Alexander King at rear, this being #129. Quarto. 293 pp. Color illustrations by King. Pig skin over linen boards; dark topstain; illustrated endpapers. Lacks publisher's slipcase, but housed in custom-made slipcase. Two publisher's advertisements laid in at front: first announcing the publication of Gulliver's Travels as the first book issued by the Club, and the second announcing the sale of the King's original drawings for the book. Light rubbing to edges and joints of boards with a few minor scuffs. Rear hinge cracked but binding is otherwise sound and interior unmarked. Slipcase sturdy and stable. A Very Good or better copy.
