Minor shelf wear, generally good binding. Spine label perished. Clean, unmarked pages. xxiv, 340 pp., xix, 437 pp. Armorial bookplate of J.R. Aldy Esq. of Albyns. Ref: Atabey 770-1, Blackmer 1079 (other ed). First published in Italian between 1769 and 1777, 'Mariti's book is one of the most important of all works on Cyprus' (Atabey). The author spent seven years as vice-consul at Larnaca and also traveled widely through the Middle East.
