Duodecimo. 4.75 x 7.5 in. 308 pp. Near fine in the original maroon cloth boards, with a very good dust jacket that has only a minor blemish or two and a slightly faded spine. The front interior cover has a prior owner's book stamp pasted down and the outside edges have a few spots of foxing. A stated Modern Library Edition, Published February 1969.[Toledano 389.1*].
Synopsis
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre is a 1927 novel by the mysterious German-English bilingual author B. Traven, in which two penurious Americans of the 1920s join with an old-timer, in Mexico, to prospect for gold. The book was adapted successfully as a 1948 film of the same name by John Huston.
