About This Item
New York: E.P. Dutton & Co, 1965. Paperback. Translation and introduction by Stewart Robb. 12mo. Stiff blue pictorial wrappers. xxii, 151pp. Very good. Bit of mild edgewear and light scuffing, but overall a tight and nice first paperback edition of this particular translation of the German opera libretto, presented in side-by-side German/Englisah format. From the collection of conductor and musicologist Paul Clinton Echols (1944-94), with his ownership name inkstamped on the title page and rear flyleaf and his lightly pencilled markings and margin notes on ten pagfes near the rear.
