London: James Madden, 1854 Two volumes in one. Thick 12mo 7 5/8" tall. No date on title page Preface is dated 1854. Blue cloth with blindstamped design and stamped in gilt. Bright gilt page edges. xvi, 365 and x, 315 pages. 34 chapter in front part. 35 chapters in back part. Handcolored illustrations. Monitorial diligence gift inscription dated 1861 on front pastedown. Some neat repair to tighten the binding. Tightly bound. A little wear at spine ends. Very good.
