About This Item
Canton: Angsing Studio, 1850. Silk covered boards. Very good overall. An album of finely executed paintings of the Empress, Emperor, and various other top officials including their wives or women, their robes depicted in brilliantly hued colors. The red silk cover bears most of a label in English for "Angsing", and a label in Chinese. With the original silk ties.
4to album 13 x 9 1/4". Leaves mounted with pale turquoise ribbon to paper leaves. There is some browning in the blank section of some of the paintings, and the top right corner is bumped. Rubbing on the spine and edges but internally very bright.
