About This Item
Bristol: Redcliffe, 1986, 1986 Cloth. First Edition Thus. This is a fine example of book production and one that far exceeds the Bodley Head first of 1936, which was never reprinted. Gibbings work is absolutely ideal here. The first edition remains a rarity for collectors, of course, but this is a better rendering of the superb wood engravings than before. Llewelyn has become more collected recently, which is good to see. He may not 'weigh' as much as the truly great John Cowper Powys, but he is certainly worth a serious read. And this is a beautiful book to start with. Clean and tight and almost perfect. Jacket unclipped and protected. 0.0 0.0 0.0. 1st Edition.. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine.
