Stretching beyond the boundaries of conventional travel writing, Lawrence not only describes his journey with poetic artistry, but highlights the anxious atmosphere which was prevalent in Europe during the First World War. In full cloth binding. Externally, very smart with some light shelf wear. Minor offsetting to the paste-downs. Internally, firmly bound. Pages very bright and clean with some light age-toning and the occasional crease to the page. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
