About This Item

London: Cape, 1989. Hard Cover. (London: Jonathan Cape 1989 [First Published 1980]. Stunningly re-bound in full grey morocco with elaborate gilt vignette to the front board. There is a strip of red morocco to the right-hand edge of both the front and back boards with the author and title in gilt thereto, Modern cream, black and grey end-papers. This is a beautiful production by a highly-skilled albeit un-named bookbinder. A fine copy (reminiscent of a prize binding) . Would make a wonderful present for any Roald Dahl enthusiast. Needs to be seen (and handled to appreciate what a lovely book this is. Photographs/scans available upon request.
