Lettering is sharp; spine sunned; upper edge of front and rear panel also sunned. Quite clean and tight with all edges and corners rubbed. Internals very clean, unmarked, evenly toned. Frontis: b/w illustration of a gentleman and lady of their day--"She, too, knew that this was the second time their eyes had met". "The Two Vanrevels" is an amusing tale that weaves together a passionate love triangle, a case of mistaken identity, and a look at how political and social venues can often intrude on personal life. Author Booth Tarkington was an American novelist and dramatist best known for his novels The Magnificent Ambersons and Alice Adams. Synopsis
