New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, 1956. First Edition. Hardcover with Dust Jacket. Fine/Very Good+. 8vo. Pp. 192. Bound in tan cloth with blue lettering stamped on spine. A superb copy with dust jacket spine showing a trifle darkening. The author taught at Cornell and the University of Chicago before taking position at Cambridge University's English department. The dust jacket, printed with a pastel tartan overlaid with a menorah, is now preserved in a removable, clear archival protector.
