About This Item
19. MACLEISH, Archibald. TYPED LETTER, SIGNED. A single sheet, 10 1/2 x 7 1/4," imprinted with MacLeish's letterhead, and dated July 22 (without a year, but prior to 1963). It is a friendly note addressed to Kathleen Morrison, Robert Frost's secretary, regarding plans to visit to Dartmouth. He begins "Dear K: How sweet you are. And not once but twice," and ends with "My hommage to Robert." Under a typed closing, MacLeish signed "Archie" in ink. Lightly creased from careful folding and quite fine.
