Princeton NJ, 1951. Letter. Fine. Quarto leaf. On Einstein's blind stamped Mercer Street Princeton New Jersey address stationary dated July 28, 1951. Old folds from mailing, else about fine. Nicely matted and framed. Einstein writes to Dr. Dagobert D Runes, editor of "Spinoza Dictionary", published by the Philosophical Library in 1951: "Lieber Dr Runes: Ich gebe Ihnen gerne meine Erlaubnis, meine Bemerkungen uber Ihr Spinoza Dictionary in dem von Ihnen gewunschten Sinne zu benutzen. Freundlich grusst Sie. Ihr. Albert Einstein" ( Dear Dr Runes: I would like to give you my permission to use my comments on your Spinoza Dictionary in the way you wish. Kind regards, yours, Albert Einstein". Accompanied by a first edition copy of "Spinoza Dictionary" New York, Philosophical Library (1951) Fine in price clipped dust jacket, complete with a foreword by Einstein. Also Includes a certificate of authenticity . (we are not big fans of COAs, but this one seems to be from a reasonably well-known examiner, so we've included it.)
