Very scarce work. With the scarce original unclipped dust wrapper. Illustrated throughout. A story about dogs, following a Great Dane and five Dachshunds living in a villa in the south of France, as they met new dogs Voltaire and Dulcibella. Written by Gladys Bronwyn Stern, an English novelist, biographer, and literary critic. Illustrated by Kathleen Frances Barker, an English writer and book illustrator known for her drawings of dogs and horses. In the original brown cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities and minor fading to the spine. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also smart with light shelf wear and minor chipping to the extremities. The odd small closed tear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout with light age toning to the pastedowns. Very Good Indeed
