New endsheets and pastedowns, bright gilt-lettering at the spine. Tight and VG, with the margins to a number of the pages professionally lengthened. Octavo, wonderful frontispiece engraving signed in the plate by Maxime Lalanne. Tale of a 19th century French bookseller.
