Inscribed on front free endpaper by author Captain Frank Worsley to expedition geologist (and future in-law) Charles Bisset, rest of text block tight and unmarked. Map of the 1925 expedition attached to rear paste-down endpaper. "Worsley, a hero of Shackleton's 1914 Endurance Antarctic expedition, continued his maritime exploits, serving as a commander during WWI and joining Shackleton 1922 Antarctic expedition before enlisting in this trip, the last arctic expedition performed under sail.".
