About This Item

Garden City, New York: Doubleday & Company, Inc, 1963. Hardcover. Very good/Very good. Bored with her sleepy hometown, Patti Randall awakens to feverish excitement when her tomcat, D.C. (Darn Cat), delivers an important clue in a mysterious kidnapping. This novel served as the basis for the Walt Disney motion picture That Darn Cat (1965), which was directed by Robert Stevenson and featured Hayley Mills, Dean Jones, Roddy McDowall, Elsa Lanchester, Frank Gorshin, and Ed Wynn. Inscribed, with an original drawing of a paw print, by The Gordons on the front flyleaf. Octavo. Original green cloth binding, with gilt titles. Mild wear to the corners and tips. The dust jacket is a bit browned along the spine and folds, with some minor edgewear; otherwise very good.

Synopsis

Undercover Cat is a novel by Gordon and Mildred Gordon, about a cat who assists the FBI in tracking down a pair of bank robbers. It has been adapted to film twice, as That Darn Cat! (1965) and That Darn Cat (1997).
