Brown cloth w/ half-leather, leather corners, gilt lettering on spine, marbled edges, marbled eps. Spine age-darkened but gilt still bright, rear gutter partially cracked, rear hinge solid; front hinge loose at top; corners lightly bumped; otherwise exceptionally clean, unmarked, solid copy of the first edition; not ex-lib, not facsimile. Profusely illustrated w/ three extremely large fold out maps tipped in. 394 pp + 3 pp listing of publications of U.S. Geological Survey up to 1906.

Any book not as described on the site list (or damaged in shipping) will be fully refunded, including original shipping costs. Notification of return and the return shipping must be within 15 days of receipt. Condition of the book must be the same as when shipped, unless damaged in shipping. Return shipping will be paid by seller.

Books sent via US Postal Service Media Mail unless other arrangements are requested. Priority mail with delivery confirm is available. Larger books and sets, and shipping to foreign countries, will require extra shipping fees. You will be notified. Standard book weight is 2.5 lb. All books over $100 must be sent insured, insurance fee paid by buyer.
