London: George Allen and Unwin Ltd, 1980. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. An attractive, bright and very clean copy. Original burgundy cloth, pp. 472. folding map to the rear of the book. The map is in excellent, clean condition without nicks/tears etc. The book is square and tight, hint of a reading crease to the backstrip, lightly pushed at the spine tips. Coloured top edge still vibrant and the book is free from previous owner names etc. A VG or Near Fine copy of the book. The dustjacket is unclipped with new publisher sticker (£7.50) over the printed price. Free from any loss or nicks but minor wrinkles at the spine tips and reading crease at spine. The blue "Unfinished Tales" titles at front panel and spine are faded, else Near Fine.
Synopsis
Unfinished Tales (full title Unfinished Tales of Númenor and Middle-earth) is a collection of stories and essays by J. R. R. Tolkien that were never completed during his lifetime, but were edited by his son Christopher Tolkien and published in 1980.
