About This Item
Synopsis
An Unhurried View of Erotica was authored by Ralph Ginzburg and George Jean Nathan , with a foreword by Theodor Reik was published January 1, 1958. This rather scholarly-seeming book explores an ostensible undercurrent of pornography that runs throughout English literature from a manuscript by Leofric, Bishop of Exeter in 1070 through the outright pornographic works of the 1950s. An Unhurried View examines specific examples of English erotic literature in an interpretive and explanatory context, and includes a bibliography of 100 titles.
