About This Item

Very Good with no dust jacket. 1936. Envelope. In 1946 H R Harmer auctioned off the stamp collection of Franklin D. Roosevelt. Each stamp and item was stamped on the back with Harmer's mark. In this case it read, "FROM THE FRANKLIN D ROOSEVELT COLLECTION AUCTIONED FEB. , APRIL, 1946 BY H. R. HARMER INC. , N. Y. The letter is addressed to himself but by a secretarial hand. Always desirable, these items have grown significantly in rarity and value over the last 67 years. The perfect gift for any stamp collector, even yourself! We were fortunate enough to aquire a small number of these cahets and when they are gone that is it! Cachet partially obscured by ornate champagne bottle. .
