Gillis Press, Privately Printed, 1923. Book. Soft cover. Gherardi Davis (1858 - 1941) was an attorney in New York, writer of military studies. A VERY GOOD COPY, FIRST PRINTING, INSCRIBED by Davis on half title page. This book, he states was actually written before WW l but published in 1923. Thin cardboard covered with paper with a title label on front cover. The front pastedown has a William Gaston bookplate. It is inscribed "To William A. Gaston from Gherardi Davis 1924. Illustrated through out with photos from 1800's. The Gastons are an old American family and there is a long line of William Gastons..
