Original publisher's navy morocco, stamped and lettered in gilt to upper board, A.E.G. A trifle rubbed, spine lightly sunned. Endpapers spotted. A handsomely bound volume commemorating the opening of the Harold Cohen Library, University of Liverpool, on 21st May, 1938, in the presence of then Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin. Devoted to medicine and the sciences; the library initially contained 200,000 volumes, the holdings have now increased to over 500,000. . First edition. Quarto.
