Small stamp on title page verso: "Bequeathed by Leonard L. Mackall." "Paul Beaujon" was the pseudonym sometimes used by Beatrice Warde (1900-1969), American scholar of typography. Former owner Leonard L. Mackall (1879-1937) was a book collector, scholar, and writer of the column "Notes for Bibliophiles" in the New York Herald Tribune. Scarce. In Very Good- Condition: closed 2-cm. tear from head of spine into front wrapper; closed 1/2-cm. tear from fore-edge of front wrapper; creasing along upper edge of front wrapper; closed 2-cm. tear from upper edge of first (blank) leaf, which has crease along upper edge; otherwise, clean and bright.
