The author is a local historian who has studied the Norfolk Rising, led by Robert Kett. In his book he sets this unique rebellion against its background of turmoil and discontent. Robert Kett (c1492-1549) was the leader of Kett's Rebellion in Wymondham, Norfolk. Largely in response to the enclosure of land by wealthy landowners, a group of rebels were destroying fances that had been put up. With Appendices and Bibliography.
