During the most violent strife of the Civil War, Constance Robertson has written this gripping story of a group of Northerners who hated Abraham Lincoln.Those were dark years full of hate where social politics of the time, splinted families apart and turned a nation upon itself, almost like today. Book is in very fine condition with a slight bumps at the spine ends.Book appears lightly or unread and is internally unmarked except for several light pencil notations on first free end paper. Unclipped ($3.00) dust jacket has significant losses to bottom front 3"x1.5" and top front 1/2"x5", spine ends and back of jacket at top and bottom. See pictures. Even with the damaged jacket the book and jacket are rare and highly collectible. Book is a first edition and stated first printing.
