SIGNED Copy. Hardcover with dust jacket, a third edition copy, published by Hearthside Press, 1960. How to identify and use wild plants for food, medicine, and crafting. Includes chapters on useful trees, shrubs, lichens, flowers, herbs, and also a chapter on poisonous plants to avoid. 254 pages with Index and Bibliography, a section of black & white photos, and illustrations throughout the book. Bright yellow cloth covered boards, with the title and author name imprinted on the spine in dark green. Cover boards are flat, the corners are not bumped, very little edge wear. Some spots of age tanning to the cover boards. Dust jacket is intact and not price clipped, original price of $3.95 printed on the front flap. Jacket has edge wear, some short closed tears to the edges, some chipping with the largest being a 1/2" X 1/4" chip on the top front edge. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Some dots of age tanning to the edges of the text block. Signed by the author for the former owner on the title page - the dedication includes a date of July 1967, and the former owner's name. Former owner's name is also written on the top right corner of the first flyleaf page. Not a library discard. Attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory.
