As a whole, the novel carries a pro-Christian message. Quo Vadis: A Narrative of the Time of Nero, commonly known as Quo Vadis, is a historical novel written by Henryk Sienkiewicz in Polish. "Quo vadis, Domine?" is Latin for "Where are you going, Lord?" and appears in Chapter 69 of the novel[2] in a retelling of a story from the apocryphal Acts of Peter, in which Peter flees Rome but on his way meets Jesus. I received this book as a gift for my 18th birthday in 1955. The title, age and not liking to read, I filed it. When I did pick it up in n my 30's and read it it became one of my favorite reads.
