Text clean and unmarked except for previous owner's name at front wrap. Pages tanned. Paper wraps printed in dark blue, chipped and worn, tanned and foxed. Text block with sewn binding intact, complete. Charlotte Mary Brame (1836-1884), (usually known as Charlotte M. Brame, or sometimes Braeme), an English novelist, appeared under pseudonyms in America, notably Bertha M. Clay, or Dora Thorne.
