Moderate cracking to gutters causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Book is bowed and forward leaning with visible sunning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier sunning with soft crushing to ends.

In very good bright blue cloth boards, white flag motif to front with letter 'C' in blue in middle; gilt titles to back strip. The covers are firm, unmarked, a little shelf-cocked; corners and spine ends a little frayed. "The Clevedon Community Co-operative Bookshop Bindery Team" have repaired the front hinge with Japanese paper. Tanned free end papers. Slightly tanned cut edges. Very good book block, tightly bound, straight and clean. With b/w plates. No dedications etc. The last end page has two newspaper cuttings about the sale of the fleet pasted on. No jacket.
