About This Item

London: Faber and Faber Limited, March 1941. Cloth . Good/Fair. 2nd printing in tattered dustjacket: pink with blue lettering. Heavy chipping, sunned spine, several large dark stains back panel, & price clipped. Mauve cloth boards with burgundy block and silver lettering on spine. Previous owner's name & a date inked front free end page: Stuart 1941. Previous dealer's small sticker affixed to rear pastedown. Good sound binding. Without markings in text. Written in style of imaginative travel writing, despite the fact Sacheverell Sitwell never placed so much as one toe into Russia. Not sure it is worth mentioning Sir Sitwell was not born until 19 years after the 'action' of this short entertainment.
