Blue illustrated hardcover, title printed on spine. Stated "first edition" on copyright page. Light toning to upper edge of spine, wear to tips. In the publisher's first state dust jacket, $3.00 on front flap, light foxing to verso, bright illustration on cover and spine, shallow chipping to spine, a very good example. Dust jacket design by Harry Ford. (Hubin, 58) (Johnson II, 18) Signed on the half title by the author. Vanity Row is a hard-boiled crime novel about big-city corruption and the basis of the 1956 film "Accused of Murder.
