New York: Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1971. Hardcover. Small 4to. Red cloth, dust jacket. x, 636pp. Illustrations, pictorial and map endpapers. Near fine/very good. Quite mild jacket edgewear, with couple of archivally-closed (on verso) edge tears and some rubbing. First edition, a tight, handsome copy with interesting association: Half-title page bears the bookplate of noted actor M.J. Frankovich (1909-92), whose film credits include "Meet John Doe" (1941) and "Son of Zorro" an as actor and "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice" (1969), "Cactus Flower" (1969), "The Shootist" (1976) and many others as a producer.
