Colombia, 1965) outside of Colombia. The drawings of Calle push the limits to a new dimension. She has turned to unusual materials and processes to extend the limits of drawing: sewing, knotting embroidery, darning, cutting, pasting, compressing, or writing are just some of the words that define her action, together with conventional materials or surfaces such as ink, graphite, paper, chipboard, or with less common ones such as wire netting, casein, animal membrane, photographic negatives, or canvas.
