A limited edition de luxe, numbered four-hundred and thirty-nine of a total of five hundred copies.Signed by Mortimer Menpes to the limitation.A beautiful monograph of Venice, exploring the history, architecture, and society of the Italian city.Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, and ninety-nine colour plates.Collated, complete.Illustrated by Mortimer Menpes, with text by his daughter, Dorothy Menpes In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, a little discoloured and marked, as is usual with a white binding. Spine is discoloured. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, a small amount of loss to the head of the spine. Small crack to the tail of the rear joint. Hinges are starting a little but remain firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
