1886 hardcover as pictured. Volume 1 only. Binding is intact. Embossed green cloth boards with gold stamping are rubbed and lightly soiled with bumped corners and slight fraying at edgers and corners. Printed endpapers. Sticker on FFEP. Front and rear hinges cracked. Edge of text block is soiled, text itself is tanned and mottled in places but appears unmarked. Includes 6 tissue guarded portraits and 12 maps.
