Tales From Town Topics, 1895. First Edition. Hardcover. 255 pages. 'Tales from Town Topics' was a New York-based magazine of fiction, humor and light verse which began in 1891 as Town Topics. Most issues featured a longer fiction piece followed by shorter pieces. Around 1905, it was either absorbed or renamed as 'Tales,' which was renamed 'Transatlantic Tales' before ending in 1908. First edition (first printing). A very good copy in marbled paper over board and quarter brown leather covers with gilt lettering on spine. 'A Very Remarkable Girl' is title of lead 'novelette' in this issue. That title is printed on spine above'Tales From Town Topics.' Front hinge is broken but binding is tight. Edge and corner wear to covers. Uncommon. Additional titles in this series are available,
