About This Item

Sydney: Allen & Unwin. 2007. Very Good condition - minor mark to inside of front cover. Illustrated with Colour & Black and White Photographs. A nice copy. Robust, professional packaging and tracking provided for all parcels. 320 pages. On the night of 3 May 1942, Sydney was doing what it does best - partying. Theatres, restaurants, dance halls and more were in full flight entertaining the soldiers, sailors and airmen on leave. The war seemed far away. The partying came to an abrupt halt when three Japanese midget submarines crept into Sydney Harbour past eight electronic loops, six patrolling RAN ships and an anti-submarine net. . Reprint.
