Volume four onwards details the various districts of the county, describing their religious, social and architectural history, topography and population statistics. With illustrations, maps and tables throughout. Contains Vol I (1903 first edition). Vol. II (1977 reprint), Vol. III: Roman Essex + Index (Reprint 1977), Vol. IV: Ongar Hundred (1977 reprint), Vol. V (1966 first edition, ex-library with stamps), Vol. VI (1976 first edition), Vol. VII (1978 first editon), Vol, VIII (1983 first edition), Vol. IX: The Borough of Colchester (1994 first edition), Vol. X: Lexden Hundred (2001 first edition), Bibliography (1959 First edition, half leather presentation copy), Bibliography supplement (1987 first edition), Bibliography second supplement (2000, first edition). 4to. Vols. i-IV lack DJs. Vol. V has ex-library stamps and tags. Most volumes are crisp and clean and in fine condition. All bindings tight.
