London: Routledge & Kegan Paul, 1965. Book. Illus. by 12 pages ohotos. Near Fine. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Handsome copy in original black cloth with copper bright title on the spine, one corner bumped but no edge wear. Inside, very clean and tight with no stains or prior owner marks. The dust jacket has some slight edge wear, but no tears and is not price clipped. All the best of the 19th Century intrepid lady travelers are here - Fanny Workman, Isabella Bird Bishop, Mary Kingsley, Marianne North and others. A fine read. .
