Set right in the middle of WWII, the author, who served as both an aeronautical designer & bomber pilot in that war, reviews the importance of air power in winning all the crucial battles of the war thus far, & argues that the US must begin to "think & fight primarily in terms of air power" to take the offensive against the Axis powers & win the war.
