Paris: Jardin des Modes / Impressions Paul Dumas, 1931. Very good.. Scarce batik-printed fabric children's book following the creation myth of the Book of Genesis, with added handwork. French text and illustrations follow the Book of Genesis, depicting the creation of the heavens and the earth, the beasts of the field and the fishes of the sea, Adam and Eve. 8.5'' x 10''. Pictorial linen with paper insert, rebacked with new spine. Batik printed illustrations, hand lettering. 13 folded linen leaves. Small ink owner name on rear wrapper. Wrappers rather soiled with light dampstains; interior overall quite clean.
