About This Item
paperback. Good. 12.5 x 11.5 cm closed 25 x 11.5 cm open. colour die-cut illustration Nice die-cut pop-up Australian vintage Christmas card, showing b&w illustration of gum tree and cottage to front, and with printed 'Seasons Greetings'; when open we see a die-cut foreground of ghost-gums, wooden fence, a farmer on a horse along with two blue heelers, and kookaburras on the fence, all in colour; the background shows an outback sunrise with 'Christmas Greetings' printed on respective panels; fore and backgrounds fold out where a hand-written Christmas greeting can be seen - the inscription is unfortunately undated, but the card appears to be early, possibly 1930's; front illustration heavily foxed, with short closed tear to lower edge; colour interior good, with no significant marks or flaws (background a little rubbed in places) - pop-up folds are crisp and holding; rear panel lightly rubbed, and with closed tear lower edge; a fragile item which has done well to survive intact.
