Cambridge : Cambridge University Press, 1942. First edition. Paperback. Very Good. 7" by 5". None . The first edition of E. M. Forster's lecture regarding noted Bloomsbury author, Virginia Woolf. The first edition, in the original paper wraps. Based on the Rede lecture delivered by Forster in the Senate House, Cambridge on the 29th May 1941. The lecture was also delivered at the Royal Institute of Great Britain in March of 1942. E. M. Forster and Virginia Woolf were friends for over three decades, with this work reflecting the fondness and admiration Forster had for the Bloomsbury author. In the original publisher's wraps. Externally smart with spotting to the wrap. Slight creasing to the extremities. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with scattered spotting. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
