Illustrated with Twelve oversize spreads of relief prints made from collagraph plates depicting various architecture of cities described in Italo Calvino's book, "Invisible Cities". Prints also contain excerpts of Calvino's text, handset in metal and wood type. Printed on Rives BFK paper. Number 13 of 25 limited signed copies. Housed in a cloth-covered enclosure with an applied, cast resin architectural facade on the front lid. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks, binding tight and solid, boards very lightly rubbed and worn. John Ross, printmaker, painter, art educator and author has been a Professor of studio art at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York for 22 years, and a teacher in a Printmaking Workshop at the New School University in New York City for 50 years. His work is varied in subject matter, from cityscapes, figurative images, western landscapes, portraits, visions of architectural fantasies to the metamorphosis of people into structures or buildings.
