London: Thomas M'Lean, 1820. Hardcover. Very good. The third edition. 8vo. 138pp. Illustrated with full page plates, including 12 aquatints which are vividly and magnificently hand-colored. In a contemporary binding of full crimson straight-grain morocco. The spine is in five compartments with raised bands, all intricately tooled in gilt. Gilt and blind rolls border the boards with a gilt vignette of the monastery on the center. Gilt inner dentelles. All edges gilt. Armorial bookplate of Williams of Blaina Gwent and also the ownership signature of Augustin Williams. Occasional foxing, else a very good copy in a fine binding with lovely illustrations.
